FAQ’s About the Race:
Q. How exactly do the runners get from Champaign/Urbana to Peoria?
A. The run is conducted in a relay type fashion with segments ranging from 2-6 miles. Runners are accompanied by police escorts, vans with music blaring out your favorite tunes, and motor homes as we make the 109-mile trek to Peoria. When you’re not running you can ride (or sleep) in the RV or chase van.
Q. How many miles do I have to run?
A. You can run as little or as much as you are willing/able to run. The run segments range from 2-6 miles. With 109 miles between Champaign and Peoria there�s a segment for everyone! Our group had runners who logged anywhere between 3 and 33 total miles.
Q. What kind of runners participate in the St. Jude Run?
A. All skill levels are welcome. This is not a race but a fun fund-raiser for a great cause!
Q. How much money do I have to raise?
A. We ask that everyone raise a minimum of $500. Fundraising letters are a quick and efficient way to raise funds and there are templates available to help with that. For helpful fundraising tips, click here.
Q. I want to run, how do I join the team? I’m undecided and would like more information.
